Have you got a case of stage fright?

So… you’ve chosen a target market (or two).

Now what?

Is that where you are stuck?  Do you look at your target market and think “Now, how am I going to fill my book?”  Is that concern keeping you from moving forward?

If so, let me ask you this…

How many clients do you need to fill your book consistently?

Are you looking out at your target market (of 1000, 5000, 10,000, 100,000 people) and worrying that you won’t be able to find 20 or 30 or 50 of your “ideal clients”?

Remember, your “ideal clients” are just a subset of your target market.  They are the folks with whom you can do your best work.  They inspire you to greatness and you serve them wholeheartedly.  These are folks who (once they know about you) know that they MUST see YOU!  They know that YOU are the person who can help — they are looking desperately for YOU!

The quest is not to dive into your target market and hope and pray that you’ll be able to trick 30 or 40 people to do business with you.  If that’s in the back of your mind, no wonder you have stage fright!

Your quest is to get noticed by your target market so you can let them know who you are, what you stand for, and (MOST importantly) that you care, and what you can do for them!  Once you do that, they will find YOU!

So… instead of hiding in the wings because you think no one is going to pick you for their team — recognize that there are enough (probably way more than enough) of your ideal clients out there just waiting to find out about you.  Just waiting to learn that you care and that you can help.

You’re a helper.  Put on your “helper’s hat” at get out there!
