Today was one of the most exciting days of my career as a Private Practice Mentor.
I presented at the ACA Conference on a topic near and dear to my heart: Beyond Dollars For Hours – Maximizing Your Private Practice Potential.
I’ve got to say that when I walked into the cavernous convention center I wasn’t sure anyone stuck around for the Sunday morning sessions. I went upstairs to set up and saw a few more people, but I wasn’t sure just how many folks I’d get to meet and work with in my session.
I was setting up for the presentation, and when I looked up the room was packed; people were standing in the back and sitting on the floor in the front. When I saw that I got choked up and reminded myself how blessed I am. It was a humbling experience.
How great to have the opportunity to share my passion for private practice with a room full of eager and excited people. Everyone was great! Insightful questions, helpful comments — a real feeling of camaraderie was in the air. I was so proud to be in that room.
Throughout the session, as I mixed it up with my own story and some ideas for how to bring in additional streams of income, all I could think was – “This is why I do this. This is what Influential Therapist is all about”.
You’ve inspired me. You urge me to work harder to bring you more and more support, information, guidance, and a place for you to feel at “home”.
Thank you. I won’t let you down!
Deb Legge
Congrats on a successful session! This is great news and a great reminder that those of us who aspire to build a practice are not alone!!!
Hi, Dr Legge!
Good job I am so proud of you!
I attended this session and I must say, the information you provided was excellent. It was presented in a way that was easily followed and understood. I don’t feel so scared about being a counselor now with goals, dreams, and aspirations. Thanks for the help and I look forward to learning from up during the upcoming years. ~
Jennifer – I’m thrilled you got something out of the presentation. I’m even more thrilled that you are now ready to embrace your goals, dreams, and aspirations — that is EXACTLY what private practice is all about!
Thanks Rachel 🙂
